I rescued a boxer 2 months ago. The ad was in the traverse city paper. I undestand your group wanted to rescue her. I thought I would write to say she is doing well. She has been spayed. We are in the process of treating her for heartworm. So far so good. I never had a boxer before, but she is the best! Please write me.

Libby came to live with us yesterday. She made herself very much at home. It seems as if Buster, an earlier rescue from another facility, and her were made for each other. They are inseparable!

We adopted Neala over a year ago. She is the best dog either of us have ever owned. She is a very important part of our family. She and our son are very close. Thank you for helping to match us up with the best dog ever (we are biased). MMBR is the best. We also got our awesome cat Sulley from MMBR.

I think it is wonderful work being done by MMBR. We had a male boxer named Duke when I was growing up. We had several good years with him until his passing. To this day out of all the breeds we had, the Boxer will always be my first choice. Maybe one of these days I will have another. I will definitely return here as I think a rescue is the way to go. Thanks again for all you do!!

Thank you to this wonderful group of people that help the boxers in this world find the love and care they so much deserve. I have had boxers in my life since a very young age. You can not find a more devoted friend. I have one boxer now that was a rescue and he is my grandsons best friend. We work with another rescue in Mich. Poundbuddies and have seen some great dogs go to this rescue because we are so full. I wished I could take home all the lost and forgotten dogs that come into our small facility. We have 5 at our house now. But the boxer breed has always been my favorite. Thank you again for saving their life.I keep my eye on all the boxers that come in to our place. If at the time I have a spot in our home they are always welcome

Thank you for sharing the Rainbow Bridge stories. Me and my family just lost our handsome boy, Bo. December 1, 2008 had to have been the saddest day of our lives. He wasn't alone, which was a promise I made him after the vet told us how sick he was. He was 11 yrs old and had a good long life. We miss him very much, but look forward to one day sharing our hearts and love with another wonderful boxer!!!

Thank you for helping these wonderful animals! The world is a much better place because of people like you. I have a 7 year old boxer girl and she is my heart. I don't understand how people can be so cruel to these animals. Everytime I see a site like yours I burst into tears when I see all the hardships these animals go through. Having a boxer is truly a privilege and should not be taken for granted.

I adpoted Izzy about five years ago and just wanted to let you know, she is the sweetest dog. She is healthy, happy and loves playing with her ball. I was so pleased to see her picture still on the site. Someday I would love to foster again, when the time is right. In the meantime, Izzy has her boy, Langdon, me and her very special Grandma and Grandpa who dote on her endlessly.

I just want to say "thank you" for the work you do. I don't have a boxer but I know and love many of them. I personally have three large/x-large mixed breed dogs. All of them came from different shelters. I wish everyone would think of rescues when looking for a pet. Too many great animals never get a second chance for a good life.

Your senior dogs poem brought me to tears. I recently helped my beautiful senior boxer cross the Rainbow Bridge. Despite his best fight and will to live, the lymphoma was slowly robbing him of the joy in his life. Some of my best memories are of his senior days...sun bathing and snoring softly next to my bed at night. Ten and a half years isn't nearly long enough to spend with your best friend but I'm thankful for each day we had! Thank you for giving the senior boxers a second chance to find a loving home to spend the rest of their days.

We are a family who have had Boxers for many years. My husband grew up and had never been exposed to the breed and now he says he would not have another kind of dog. He is amazed at their sweetness and love of family. We just recently lost our beloved senior Boxer, and are looking to fill up our home again and give another Boxer a very good and loving home.

I'm in my mid 60s and have had boxers all my life. I currently have 2, a male and a female. I agree with all the messages that say they make the best dogs. They do. They are just like having children in your life - very loving and playful. I'm VERY PLEASED that your organization exists. It's hard to believe people can be cruel to these wonderful pals. Thank you for looking after them. I'll be doing what i can to help out.

Hi Carol, it's Sandy's daughter again. I was just wondering how old you have to be to volunteer to help out at your events and things like that. I know I'm not quite old enough to foster a dog but I still would love to help out! Plus I would love to see Shamrock again! She is adorable. Thanks.
